Josh and Alyssa were nice enough to take Maiki to the zoo. I don't know how they felt about it, but Chris and I ended up going too. It was really nice to see Maiki start to enjoy animals. She was even brave enough to pet a turtle!

Here are two random pictures. Chris got an awesome deal (his new hobby is buying discounted gift cards) to Prairie Schooner. Maiki loved going there because she got her favorite drink, a Shirley Temple. I liked taking her there just because she kept calling it Prairie Skooter. There is also a picture of Maiki and Mikade hanging out outside of another one of her favorite places, Bun Basket.

Tiff's Baby Shower

Tiffany is basically my best friend at Powder Mtn, and she just happened to marry an instructor's son who I've been friends with since I was a toddler. After many hardships they were finally able to have a successful pregnancy. I was honestly bummed because she and I (and Krissy) had the same due date. It would've been really fun to have kids that close in age, but being a few months behind won't be too bad.
Maiki loved hanging out at her baby shower. She wanted to be Tiff's official helper. I'm sure that it was hard for Tiff's nieces to deal with, but they were nice and they shared.
FYI: Tiff's sister-in-law is an amazing baker and decorated some of the cutest baked goods I have EVER seen.

Mikade's 3rd Birthday

Right before Mikade's party it started raining. Luckily, Krissy was able to move the party to the neighboring church. I admit it was really weird going to a birthday party in a Mormon church, but everything turned out okay.
Krissy played a cruel joke on the kids and made an indestructable pinata, thank god Ivan stepped in and smashed the crap out of it.

Slone's 16th Birthday

For Slone's 16th birthday we spent the night in Park City. His favorite skate park is the one in downtown PC, and he wanted a cheesecake in lieu of a normal birthday cake. Most of his friends scared Maiki, but we still had a good time hanging out and watching them act like normal teenagers.
I loved watching this dad cruise around w/his toddler. 
I can't believe my baby brother is 16!!! I remember when Chris and I were dating. . . Slone was three and fighting w/Chris over shotgun.
On our way home from Park City my a/c compressor decided to go out. We took it to this awesome shop on Gordon and Maiki fell in love with this motorcycle.

Every year we try to get together with the Sugimotos. This year we stayed at their house in Redondo Beach. Our activities included: Disneyland, Legoland, hanging out at their local beach, and visiting my grandma's sister in LA.

Krissy and I planned a fun day hanging out on the beach at the dam. Everything went great until we tried to get out of the car. It was seriously a crazy wind storm! Sand was wiping our feet, and we knew the kids would be miserable. We didn't even get them out of the car; we immediately turned around and tried to get our money back. The raunchy lady told us no and that she'd give us a rain check. We didn't want a rain check; we wanted our money! Luckily, Krissy is a master negotiator, so she talked the lady into selling our pass to the next car, and we got away without losing anything.
Instead of getting cuts, bruises, and sand in our eyes, we kept driving and found a nice camp spot by the Weber River. It was absolutely perfect! We tried to get away with not paying the camp fee, but our bad luck struck again. . . The fine collector walked up to our site just as we were packing up. Oh well. It was still a fun day.
