Slone's 14th Birthday Party
Slone's birthday party was a skate park marathon, with an ice cream stop at the Williams' house. I can't believe how fast he's growing up.

Learning Colors
We were hanging out w/my mom and brother (Josh) yesterday; grandma bought Maiki a bag of nummy mints. I had no idea that Maiki knew colors. All of a sudden she's asking Josh for the PINK one!
She knew all three colors: pink, yellow, and green. She's getting so smart!

Maiki's 21st Month
We spent most of this month in the water, shopping, and hanging out at our family reunion. Maiki's new favorite toy is the gigantic box she's pictured in (she climbs all over it, hides things in it, and pretends like it's a trampoline). Her favorite thing to do is steal mom's flip flops and wear them around the house. We are anticipating another screaming fit because we need to start getting rid of the binky. (Mom goes back to work on August 18th, and daycare starts August 27th.)

The Screaming Has Finally Ended
About a month ago we went to the Discovery Gateway with Sarah and Annabelle. Maiki had a great time, but it was really crowded and there were a lot of screamers. After that Maiki mimicked the screaming, and our lives started to become a nightmare. I was wondering if this was the beginning of the "terrible twos," and if it was going to last an entire year.
Luckily, it was frustration. Maiki wanted to talk, but couldn't get the words out. This last week she has been talking up a storm. . . and most importantly, the screaming has stopped. =)

Maiki's 1st sentence was, "All done, dad!" (She said this a couple of months ago.)

Baby T is Here!

Alpine Slide

Every 3 years the Miyagishima family has a rotating family reunion. This year it was my turn to be in charge of the reunion, and we voted to get together in Park City.
Maiki is such a little daredevil. She absolutely loved going down the Alpine Slide. *Our reunion is a three day event, so there will be a lot more pictures to come.
