Pine View

8-11-10
Krissy and I planned a fun day hanging out on the beach at the dam. Everything went great until we tried to get out of the car. It was seriously a crazy wind storm! Sand was wiping our feet, and we knew the kids would be miserable. We didn't even get them out of the car; we immediately turned around and tried to get our money back. The raunchy lady told us no and that she'd give us a rain check. We didn't want a rain check; we wanted our money! Luckily, Krissy is a master negotiator, so she talked the lady into selling our pass to the next car, and we got away without losing anything.

Instead of getting cuts, bruises, and sand in our eyes, we kept driving and found a nice camp spot by the Weber River. It was absolutely perfect! We tried to get away with not paying the camp fee, but our bad luck struck again. . . The fine collector walked up to our site just as we were packing up. Oh well. It was still a fun day.

More Lagoon

8-10-10
Maiki, Mikade, and Tahlia had a blast watching the performances. Maiki idolizes Hannah Montana, and is quite the little singer. We really need to get her back in dance class. It's shocking how much this girl loves to perform. (If you knew me as a child she is my exact opposite.)

Lagoon Shows

8-8-10
Maiki has loved having Lagoon season passes, especially when we could talk Chris into going. I'm excited for the pregnancy, but I was bummed that we found out about the baby just after we purchased our passes. Our favorite Lagoon shows were the parrot show and the Cirque du Soleil show. Maiki loves animals, until they are within 5 feet of her. It was sad to see her cry because she didn't get to pet the bird. (It was within 3 feet, and we didn't hear any screams.)

BrookLynn's 4th Birthday

8-7-10
BrookLynn's 4th birthday was one to remember. They rented a slide bigger than their house. It was sad because a lot of the little kids were scared of it. Even though Uncle Larry recently had a knee surgery, he still had a blast.

Dylan's 2nd Birthday

8-5-10
Dylan's 2nd birthday party was a huge success. Beth truly is the queen party planner/hostess. The decorations were awesome, the gift bags were the cutest little treasure chests, and the snacks were to die for. My favorite part of the party was sneaking a picture of Neil attentively watching Mikade. :)

Playdate with Morgan and SadieJo

8-3-10
It's hard spending every school day with your best friends and then not seeing them for an entire summer. It took months, but we finally got the girls together. Their new favorite activity is playing dress up.

Dave and Beckham's Birthdays

8-1-10
We had a family dinner celebrating Uncle Dave's 51st birthday and Beckham's 3rd. I hope Nicole cuts his hair sometime soon. . .
